Faculty of Management

Blessed with astounding grace of nature, under the shadows of breathtaking Hantana mountain range and embraced with cool breeze from the spring that flows amidst the university, the Faculty of Management of University of Peradeniya which was established on 2015 has become a fountain of knowledge giving shelter to hundreds of students. The faculty was initially identified as the Department of Management Studies in 2002. Since then it has sprouted upto a renowned faculty with its qualified outstanding academic staff, educational resources, advanced literature and the soothing environment. The faculty offers five demanding degree programs at present; namely BBA in Accounting and Finance, BBA in Human Resource Management, BBA in Marketing Management, BBA in Operations Management and BBA in Organizational Management. In addition, there are degree programs offered by the faculty in collaboration with other faculties like Bachelor of Commerce(special) degree programe, Bachelor of Science in Computation and Management(special) degree program and Bachelor of Arts(general) degree program. The faculty also offers bachelor degree programs in distance education such as the Bachelor of Business Administration Online degree program which is offered since 2008. The faculty Board comprises the Dean; Mr. M. Alfred and the Committee. The Dean governs the academic heads of the departments, non-academic heads of the departments and the unit co-ordinators. As a faculty of a world ranked university, it also offers Postgraduate programs for graduates. They include PhD Program(the Doctorial program of the faculty for which candidates can register via the Postgraduate Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences), MBA/MSc Degree programs and Postgraduate Diploma programs.
